Businesses often struggle with inefficient inquiry handling, leading to delayed responses and frustrated customers. Manual routing of inquiries can result in errors and miscommunication, impacting overall service quality.
How it works
The Inquiry Routing Agent continuously ingests customer inquiries from service channels, normalizes contact and message details, and classifies each request by topic, intent, urgency, and customer context. It compares the classification with department coverage, agent skills, availability hours, workload, and routing rules to select the best destination. The agent creates or updates the service record, assigns the inquiry to the appropriate representative, and records the decision for auditability. It then sends the customer an acknowledgment with the assigned team, reference number, and estimated response time. Exceptions such as ambiguous intent, unavailable specialists, or high-priority customers are escalated for human review.
